Medical Education
Dr. Handler attended medical school at the highly respected Rush Medical College in Chicago. She did her resident training at Aurora St. Luke’s and Sinai hospitals in Milwaukee. During residency she completed a 200-hour competency-based certification in Integrative Medicine called Integrative Medicine in Residency, through the University of Arizona’s Center for Integrative Medicine.
Philosophy
Dr. Handler believes that disease has an etiology – meaning, she doesn’t believe in band-aids for symptoms. Her specific interest is in integrating cutting-edge, but often underused treatments where appropriate to help patients feel better. Chronic conditions, womens’ issues, auto-immune disorders are among some of her specialties.
Goals
Dr. Handler believes good health means being abundant with energy and having an optimistic and hopeful relationship with oneself and with others. She feels privileged to help others in their journey to health. She wants her patients and readers to know the questions to ask, the relevant facts, and where to get reliable information.
